Clint Lodge is a fine Victorian Mansion and former shooting lodge built in 1869 by Lord Polwarth. This outstanding property is owned by the Duke of Sutherland and has been tastefully renovated into the fine Bed and Breakfast establishment. Melrose itself is a pretty town located conveniently for all of the surrounding borders regions.
Accommodation comprises five double bedrooms, four of which come with ensuite facilities and one has a private bathroom. Rooms are spacious with high ceilings as is to be expected from a grand period property. All rooms are tastefully decorated to a high standard and come with Twin or Super King size bed, television, Wifi broadband internet access, and tea/coffee making facilities.
Accommodation is rated four star by the by the Scottish Tourist Board and the RAC in their Guest House category.
There are a number of very fine communal rooms, including the drawing room, dining room, and sun lounge offering spectacular views across the valley and Boswells golf course to the River Tweed and the distant Cheviot Hills beyond.
The Guest Tariff is £55 per person per night inclusive of Full English Breakfast and taxes. It is possible for larger groups and corporate to rent the entire Lodge on an exclusive basis from £400 per day (2 day minimum) or £2200 per week. A three to five course evening meal is available if required for £32.50 per head excluding wine. All prices are inclusive of VAT.
